Platform

Today blog post I want to focus on my platform! My platform is Celebrate Every Day. I want to spread positivity to people during these dark times and to encourage people to try new things. Whether it be celebrating donut day or learning about a historical figure. I am teamed up with the National Day Calendar organization who provides these national days. This organization is really amazing and I am so lucky to be an amabassord for them. How I found them is a great story, let us begin from the beginning of it all. 2020 was not the year any of us expected it to be. I was a first year college student at Brigham Young University in Idaho majoring in Communication and Video Production. Oh boy, was that fun getting to meet so many people from different places and learning so much.

However, during my second semester my plans changed quickly and dramatically when Covid-19 pandemic hit. I made a choice to leave college to come back to my family and do online classes. I was lucky enough to have everything work out safely but however, I saw a lot of other college kids struggling. I noticed so many people around the world struggling with their mental health, depression, and having financial troubles.

I could tell there was so much negativity that was all around us! With so much uncertainty in my future, I was searching for a way to stay positive. That is when I discovered National Day Calendar, National Day Calendar is an organization that encourage everyone they met to celebrate every day! They provide all the National days and where looking for ambassador to encourage others to stay positive and find joy even in the midst of a pandemic. I jumped on the opportunity and have been working with them for awhile! I am so lucky to have been crown Miss North Dakota International 2021! This year with my crown I plan to promote the pageant system but also spread my message on Celebrating Every Day, to tell my story throughout North Dakota and all over. Weather by having zoom meetings or traveling to speak and get to know the locals. From there I would encourage girls to compete for next year's pageant. I would also start getting ready to posting on my social media to encourage people to celebrate every day! I want to volunteer where it is need and be a proud representation of my home state of North Dakota. If I won Miss International 2021 I will plan on going internationally to other countries and spread my platform. What I love most about my platform is that it dose not matter how old you are, your race, or gender. Everyone is welcome to celebrate the day from all over the country! I want to spread it so far and reach so many people that I possibly can! Every day may not be a perfect day, but there is something to celebrate everyday!
