Meet your Miss North Dakota International 2021
Meet Megan Koehler – I was born and raised in Beulah, North Dakota. I am half Indonesian from my mother’s side and am lucky enough to understand and speak Indonesian. Currently, I attend Brigham Young University, and my degree is in Communication emphasized in video production. Right now, I am attending classes online from my home in Beulah. When I am not doing online classes, you will find me spending time with my 94-year-old grandma. We usually have lunch together and watch her grandmother's favorite show, Jeopardy!
Megan has International Flair
Since now I have traveled to 11 countries! I have been blessed to go to different places from Russia, Puerto Rico, Germany, Finland, Indonesia and many more.When I travel my favorite part is exploring the beautiful land and especially getting to know the locals. Going along with trying new things, in high school I tried to do as many new activities as possible, from cross country, cheerleading, dance, girls basketball, girls golf, and track. Also in my senior year I decided to sign up for pageants and fell in love with it. I am currently a titleholder of Miss North Dakota International 2021. In July 2021 I will compete in Kingston, Tennessee for the title of Miss International 2021.
Why #CelebrateEveryDay
My plate form is Celebrate Every Day! #CelebrateEveryDay is what we need more than ever, especially from 2020 to now 2021 with all the news and drama.We should instead Celebrate Every Day by spreading the joy and having the knowledge for all national days whether it be historical or fun. I am currently an ambassador of the National Day Calendar and love the organization. I also made the #postitforpositivity where everyone is welcome to join the hashtag. Simply grab a posted note and a pen then write a positive message, from there you can post it anywhere you like! As Miss North Dakota International 2021, I will be visiting local schools around North Dakota, whether in zoom meetings or driving down there, and have a big celebration with the students. I would love to have an impact through my message. I am also excited to meet the locals all around North Dakota and hear their stories. In addition to all that, I plan to mentor young girls in the BIO Girls organization, BIO Girls is a self esteem building program. Each session includes life skills lessons, small group mentoring, and non competitive activity, and their big event is the 5k run. I also love volunteering anywhere they need me! I am currently volunteering at my local library and soon will do many more!
